Tamarisk Neighborhood
Let’s start with the Tamarisk neighborhood. Tamarisk Country Club was established in 1952 and is located in the heart of Rancho Mirage. The neighborhood surrounding Tamarisk Country Club also includes Tamarisk Heights and Tamarisk West. Homes around Tamarisk include both gated and non-gated communities, with HOAs that vary by neighborhood. Tamarisk neighborhood homes are all situated on fee land, where you own the land, and the prices range from $800,000 up to about $3.5 million.
Morningside Country Club
Next, we have Morningside Country Club, known for its exclusive gated community, superb clubhouse facilities, and beautiful golf course. Morningside was founded in 1982 and consists of 363 homes on 165 acres of extensively landscaped grounds. Homeowner’s Association provides numerous services not found in many private communities, including security home watch and 24-hour concierge shuttle service. Homes at Morningside are three to four bedrooms and range from 2,800 square feet up to 5,000 square feet, all situated on fee land. Prices range from $1.4 million up to about $3 million.
The Springs Country Club
The Springs Country Club is another popular country club in Rancho Mirage. Founded in 1975, it sits on 385 acres and has an 18-hole golf course designed by Desmond Muirhead. The community includes 24-hour gated security, 25 community pools and spas, pickleball courts, a fitness center, and 12 tennis courts. Homes at The Springs vary in style and price, ranging from the low $700,000s up to $1.4 million. HOA fees include exterior paint and roofs and basic cable and WiFi.
The S at Rancho Mirage
The S at Rancho Mirage, formerly known as Desert Island, is unique for the desert as it’s one of the few high-rise complexes in the Coachella Valley. It has three separate high-rise condominium buildings with a total of 226 units, all surrounding a 25-acre lake. It has an 18-hole private par, 72 golf course with six sets of tees to accommodate all golfing handicaps and levels. The condos are one to four bedrooms and range from 1,200 square feet up to 5,000 square feet, all situated on fee land. Prices range from the mid-400 all the way up to $2 million.
Grand Oasis
If you’re looking for something new, Section 31 is a next-generation community plan just east of Bob Hope Drive, planned to include some great new neighborhoods, a town center, and high-end resort hotels built around a 34-acre crystal lagoon called The Grand Oasis. The community is well on its way to fruition, and approximately 1,932 residential units are planned.
Del Webb Rancho Mirage
Del Webb Rancho Mirage is a 55-plus active adult community that started a few years ago. The clubhouse is 20,000 square feet with lots of things to do, including pickleball courts, tennis courts, bocce ball, a covered pool, and a larger, outdoor pool. There are 10 home designs ranging from two to three and a half bedrooms and up to three and a half baths. Prices on the smallest base model start at $483,000.
Mission Hills
Lastly, let’s take a tour of Mission Hills. Mission Hills has three championship golf courses located on 1,760 acres. Many golfing events take place at Mission Hills year-round. It’s known as one of the premier clubs in the Coachella Valley. The social calendar of events has something for everyone. Home prices in the different neighborhoods at Mission Hills vary, with some on leased land and some on fee land. You can find homes ranging from $250,000 up to $2 million.
